What if… Bowie called…

What if Weekends: 52 Weeks Project 20/52

What if Bowie heard you singing in a club one night, and then the next day he called to ask if you’d like to join him on tour as a backup singer! You laugh, but careers have kicked off like that! Back in 1982, Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble were playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, something almost unheard of for an unsigned act. At that show Stevie Ray caught the attention of David Bowie and Jackson Browne. Bowie asked Vaughan to play on his upcoming studio album Let’s Dance, while Browne offered the band free use of his personal studio in Los Angeles to record an album. Bowie later asked Stevie if he would accompany him on the Serious Moonlight tour, but Stevie’s management urged him to focus on his own tour.

So, all this to say, you never know what the Universe might have in store for you, so just keep doing what you love to do… you never know who might be watching!

This is my What if Weekend Photo Illusion for week 20 of my 52 Weeks Project! Special thanks to Elaine Clayton-Wagman for participating in one of my Illusions, it was a lot of fun shooting this with you.
