What if… Indy was just a guy with a whip!

What if Weekends: 52 Weeks Project 26/52

RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!

Super Hero vs Action Hero? One has Super Powers and can ‘leap tall buildings in a single bound’, etc, etc, and the other… has a whip! 😉 As depicted here, Indiana Jones battles an Evil Nazi and a giant Killer Spider and is not doing too well I might add… well… all he has is a whip! I find Action Heroes interesting, unlike Super Heroes all they have is training and whatever money can buy. In my mind Batman is probably the most powerful ‘Action Hero’, but Indiana Jones, an Archaeology Professor, was voted the second greatest movie hero of all time by the American Film Institute and is also the 2nd Greatest Fictional Character of All Time, surpassed only by Sherlock Holmes, according to Time Magazine. Indiana Jones The Complete Adventures was just recently released on Blu-Ray in case this isn’t enough for you! 😉 Indy is an iconic character, but after having a go at being Indiana Jones I have one question… why did he always carry is shoulder bag under his coat? There were a couple of times I went to take the bag off only to get in a tangle between coat and bag… meanwhile poor Caitlin fell victim to this Nazi abomination of nature!

This is my What if Weekend Photo Illusion for week 26 of my 52 Weeks Project! This was a fun shoot… we were approached by Gallery Security at one point who came out and said “We’ve been watching you for some time and have noticed you are getting more elaborate! What is this for? Is this for commercial purposes?” I told him it was just for fun, to which he said okay, have fun then and went back inside. Thanks to everyone that participated and helped with this Illusion… Claudine Vivian, John Wenzel, Jean Labelle, Michelle Gendron, Mardy Men, and Caitlin Luckham. And a big thank you to Maman!!!

And as an aside, Claudine has a great fear of Spiders, yet she stepped up and did this anyway! I hope it was a cathartic exercise – thanks again Claudine.

Note: Caitlin was safely returned home at the conclusion of this shoot! 😉

This 52 Week Project is part of a new endeavour of mine I call Photo Illusionism, one photo illusion every week for 52 weeks, check out the web site and “Like” my page on Facebook. And remember, if you want one of your own photo illusions, send me a message and let’s talk… I have 26 more to do!
