What if… there were no Photoshop!

What if Weekends: 52 Weeks Project 35/52

Can you imagine if I actually had to shoot these illusions… the cloning part would be way more time consuming than it is now, and the results would likely be questionable. And what would you do with the clones when you’re done? I guess you could push them out in front of a car! Clone 3 inside joke… 😉

I’ve been wanting to shoot this idea for a very long time, I just wasn’t sure how I was going to do it at first. And seriously, I don’t know what I’d do if there were no Photoshop! Photography is a passion in of itself, but Photoshop, for me takes it to a whole other level. Creating these Illusions, for me, is something I can’t really explain… it captures me, time becomes insignificant as my ideas, thoughts, dreams… craziness… all collide and become, sometimes, more than I expected. For some it’s film making, others astronomy and yet others music or painting. I say film making because last night I saw a very large group of filmmakers and actors in their element at the Digi60 Film Festival, it was pretty amazing to see the talent and the passion put in to their work. I say astronomy because the great British astronomer and broadcaster Sir Patrick Moore passed away today at the age of 89, he was so passionate about his work that he fought his way back from many serious bouts of illness and continued to work and write, the first episode of his show, “The Sky at Night” aired in April of 1957 and his last episode was broadcast on Monday. For me, my passion is my camera and what I do with my photos, I hope it shows and I hope I can continue doing it for some time! I can’t imagine stopping, so if you’ve had enough… too bad! If you want to see more, I still have more to do, and once this 52 week project is over, I’ll still be doing these in some fashion. If you’d like to join me in this craziness, you know what to do…. if you like this, please “Favourite” it, if you love what I do, please share my Page on Facebook! Thanks!

“Only the passions, only great passions, can elevate the mind to great things.” ~ Denis Diderot

This was yet another illusion where the editing was a lot more difficult than I had expected, but this time I think the results are great. Keeping in mind my policy of only using real photographs that I’ve taken, anyone want to guess at how I made the “Cloning Tubes”, or what’s in them, aside from Allen?

This is my What if Weekend Photo Illusion for week 35 of my 52 Weeks Project! Thanks to Allen Roulston (Arr G. Bargy) for participating in this illusion, sorry I made you hold your breath for so long! And thanks also to The Kennedy Space Centre, and “Human Cloning for Dummies”!

This 52 Week Project is part of a new endeavour of mine I call Photo Illusionism, one photo illusion every week for 52 weeks, check out the web site and “Like” my page on Facebook. And remember, if you want one of your own photo illusions, send me a message and let’s talk… I have 17 more to do!
