What if… you found a way back in time?

What if Weekends: 52 Weeks Project 22/52

Imagine for a moment that you take a walk to a place that’s full of memories you’ve never been able to forget. When you get there the place is gone, long ago destroyed by fire, but your memories… your memories remain! Memories of a moment in time, memories so strong… that they tear a hole in the fabric of time! You see that very moment before you, as though it were happening all over again… what if you could step through those ripples in time and change time itself? What if that day, after school at the Diner, you didn’t ignore that boy you had the secret crush on? Yes, he was talking to someone else… but he might have talked to you too, had you only turned around… what if you could change that one little thing… would you?

Time travel is an interesting concept to play with and to think about. For those that think it’s nothing more than science fiction, think again, we have achieved time travel, just not on a human level. For a fascinating article about time travel by one of the greatest minds of our time, read this article by Stephen Hawking: How to build a time machine.

This is my What if Weekend Photo Illusion for week 22 of my 52 Weeks Project! Thanks to Caitlin Luckham, Eric Pusey, Trish Pearson, and Vicki Mavraganis for participating in one of my Illusions. Thank you to Anthony, the owner of Rockin’ Johnny’s Diner at Westgate Shopping Centre, for allowing me to shoot my Illusion at his restaurant and thanks also to Graeme Hay for helping shake the fabric of time just enough to break through!

This 52 Week Project is part of a new endeavour of mine I call Photo Illusionism, one photo illusion every week for 52 weeks, check out the web site and “Like” my page on Facebook. And remember, if you want one of your own photo illusions, send me a message and let’s talk… I have 30 more to do!
