Earlier this year I created a logo for a Child Care Campaign in Delhi, this one was a fun one to work on. I worked with a WIEGO colleague, Roberto Hernandez, who is a great illustrator. After discussions with the client in India I got them to send me a selection of photos of parents. care givers and children that we could base the illustration on. After going through multiple combinations of photos and variations on posing the different people we finally decided on the right illustration and I put it all together and designed the word mark portion. It was surprising the cultural adjustments needed that both Roberto and I were unaware of including jewellery and which direction a sari is worn… the work I do is always educational.
