words, when read,

Great Cycle Challenge over, I managed to cycle 28 Great Cycle Challenge over, I managed to cycle 28 out of 30 days and reached my goal of 1,000kms, going over by 7.5kms! My longest ride was 122.1 kms, breaking my 20 year old personal best record of 121 kms for a single day ride!! I finished 318th out of 22,631 riders across Canada and raised $935.03 for SickKids Foundation, so a big thank you to all those that supported me on my ride. You can still contribute until July 26th at https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/Riders/JulianLuckham #GCCCanada
I've been thinking on this quote for quite some ti I've been thinking on this quote for quite some time, given the two incidents that have happened to me in the past 8 months. People, companies, corporations and yes politicians, need to be accountable for what they do and for what they don't do when they are responsible for something. I also believe that We are accountable for what We do or don't do in regards to other people's accountability! What’s that other famous quote about not remaining silent?

What a ride yesterday, a new record, longest singl What a ride yesterday, a new record, longest single day ride in 20 years... 88kms! So with this ride I've surpassed my original goal of 500km! My new total is 510.2km and now puts me in 647th out of 22,598 in the country and 308th in Ontario! For those of you not familiar with this view of Parliament Hill in our Nation's Capital, this was taken from the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, yep... my ride went interprovincial today!

I am still behind in my fundraising goal of $1,226.55, but only need another $326.52! But wouldn't it be cool to smash it! Only 7 days left!

Hey everyone, I need your HELP to meet my goals fo Hey everyone, I need your HELP to meet my goals for my cycling challenge, and to help me in my personal challenge!

As you know I'm riding in the Great Cycle Challenge Canada all this month and I only have 10 days left! I'm doing pretty good with the riding side of the challenge, after my ride this morning I was ranked 982... out of 22,587 riders across Canada! But I really want to do better, because this challenge is also a personal challenge, 40 year old me has challenged 60 year old me to not only get back on my bike, but to match what I was doing 20 years ago! This year has been the most cycling I've done in probabaly 15 years, so I'm getting close, and it's not over yet! I've decided that on the last weekend of this month, which is the last 2 days of the GCC Canada challenge, I'm going to push myself to do the longest 2 day ride I've ever done, I just hope the weather holds out! And don't worry, the riding part is on me!

I'd also like the fundraisng side of this challenge to meet or beat the best fundraising I've ever done, which was only 3 years ago, when Caitlin Noel Luckham and I raised $1,226.55 for CHEO and Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre & Foundation. And that's where you come in... I'm quite close to doing that, I only need to raise another $326.52 in the next 10 days! So if you haven't sponsored me yet, would you? All funds go to the SickKids Foundation to help fight kids' cancer! If you have donated, would you help by sharing this post, or my challenge page with your friends?

https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/Riders/JulianLuckham

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, egged me on, patted me on the back, and/or liked my posts! Even you Anonymous Donor! “Who was that masked donor?” LOL!

This photo is another one from my ride over to the airport Wednesday, it's the only good one I got of a plane taking off.
